indigo revolt was realated with the production of indigo plants in india.
britishers needed indigo plantd for their textile industry in britain. thus they forced their colonies to grow indigo. its an obvious fact that indigo plants hampers the productivity of the soil . thus peasants didn't want to grow it. but thry forced us to do so . they made us bounf to certain contracts. when it was more than enough,it started revolution
