Write short note on Tranquiliser drugs. (50 words)

A tranquilizer is a medicine/drug which is prepared to treat psychological issues like anxiety, depression, stress, frustration, anger or emotion management issues, etc. It basically helps the patient to calm down, and helps them to have a peaceful sleep. Some examples of tranquilizers are - equanil, alprazolam (also known as xanax), chlordiazepoxide, etc.

• Eg;- Chlordiazepoxide (Librium) produces a calming effect and is used to reduce the physical and psychological effects of anxiety.
• Nor adrenalin plays an important role in mood swing.If a person has low noradrenalin,signal transmission does not take place.Therefore  Tranquilisers inhibit the ensyme degrading nor adrenaline.
