The definition of viviparous is producing young; in plants, this is producing new plants while still on the parent plant. In viviparous germination the seeds get germinated being attached to the parent plant. The embryo grows out of the seed and then out of the fruit and projects out as a seedling with roots and hypocotyl.Viviparous plants produce seeds that germinate before they get detach from the parent plant . This phenomenon is commonly observed in mangroves(for example - Rhizophora species). The seedling germinates and grows under its own energy while still attached to its parent.

Viviparous germination.

Explanation:

  • Viviparous germination is an extraordinary sort of germination found in mangrove plants, which are salt-adoring and are in this manner halophytes. Mangrove plants are found in boggy territories on the ocean coast. In viviparous germination, the seeds develop while still appended to the parent plant. The incipient organism becomes out of the seed and afterward out of the leafy foods from it as a green seedling showing the root and the hypocotyl.
  • In viviparous germination the seeds get developed being joined to the parent plant. The undeveloped organism becomes out of the seed and afterward out of the products of the soil out as a seedling with roots and hypocotyl. eg-mangrove
