A warehouse is a storage place for goods. The warehouse has good space, healthy and protective environment to safe keep the goods for the required period. The goods are delivered from the warehouse as and when required in the quantities requested.

The warehouse should have proper packing, stacking, accounting procedures with preservation techniques. Otherwise the goods could be spoilt. The owners of warehouses could charge money for allowing other suppliers or vendors for using their services.

Warehousing is the act of storing goods that will be sold or distributed later. While a small, home-based business might be warehousing products in a spare room, basement, or garage, larger businesses typically own or rent space in a building that is specifically designed for storage.
