Indicators are substances which do not allow heat and electricity to pass through them.eg plastic,wood etc. Ph scale is a scale that is used to measure the acidity or basicity of the substance below Ph7 is acidic and above than 7is basic and 7 is neutral

indicators are substances that change their color when they come in contact with acids or bases......ex. litmus paper

ph scale is an universal indicator...it states it nature(acidic/basic/neutral) and also shows its strength . it changes color accordingly ......

some crystals,probably salt will have some water inside them ......this is the water of crystallization
