Answer:

Hi!

Mitochondria- are tiny bodies of varying shapes distributed in cytoplasm. Each mitochondria is bounded by a double membrane envelope. The outer membrane is porous while the inner membrane is deeply folded. These folds are called cristae and create a large surface area for ATP- generating chemical reactions. It is also called the powerhouse of the cell and also has own DNA and ribosomes.

Plastids- occur in most plant cells and are absent in animal cells. Like the mitochondria, they also have their own DNA and ribosomes. The internal organisation of the plastids consists of numerous membrane layers embedded in a material called the stroma. Plastids are similar to mitochondria in external structure . Plastids are of three types- chromoplasts. chloroplasts and leucoplasts.
