Nephrons glomerulus and tubules through which glomerular filtrate passes. These are small tube-like projections inside kidneys. Through nephron, blood is supplied to renal veins. It helps in blood filtration and the production of urine. The structures are similar to tubes. Approximately 1.5 million nephrons are present in kidneys.
