Dentition: mammalian teeth (dentition) are very developed and specialized for particular diet. Mammals have four kinds of teeth:

i. Incisions: most interior teeth

ii. Canines: long, stout for catching, killing prey.

iii. Premolars: for chewing

iv. Molars: have broad chewing surface.

The Endo skeleton of eutherians show important modifications and consist of skull vertebral coloumn, trunk have thoracic and lumber region, pelvic and pectoral girdles.

. Dentition is the arrangement of teeth.

⭐. In eytheria dentition is the codont, heterodont and diphyodont.

⭐. Tge codont teeth are present in tgr sockets of bones ( Maxilla , dentary)

⭐. Heterodont - There are four types of teeth namely incisors, canines , premolars and molars.

⭐. Diphyodont - Two stes of teeth are formed during life time , milk dentition and permanent dentition.

. ENDOSKELETON

. Eutherian endoskeleton is bony.

⭐. The skull is dicondylic (as in amphibia).

⭐. Each half of lower jaw is formed of a single bone dentary.

⭐. The number of cervical vertebrae is always 7 except in choloepus(6), Trichechus(6) , Bradypus(9).

⭐. Sacral vertebrae are two to five .

⭐. Vertebrates are amphiatian ( centrum is flat anteriorly and posteriorly).

⭐. Ribs are double headed.
