more limited and foused subset of regular tourism..
however, the world tourisn organization
(UNWTO) defines tourists as people "
traveling to and staying in place outside ther usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure,
business and other purpose."
The Tourism industry and business is flourishing in India. It can be seen as:-
1. A large number of tourists come to India for eco-tourism, adventure tourism, medical tourism, etc.
2. Between 2009 and 2010 there was an increase of 11.8 per cent in the number of tourists.
3. In 2010, 5.78 million people visited India which shows us how much the tourism industry in India is booming.
4. Tourism promotes better integration of the country and also promotes small industries like regional handicrafts.
