Usefulness of Bacteria,

• bacteria such as rhizobium , fix atmospheric nitrogen in soil and convert it into in usable nitrogenous compound which is easily utilizes by plant for synthesis of plants protein and other compounds.
• bacteria also help in reduce the pollution, by break down dead bodies and excreta to form inorganic compounds which is absorbed by plant.
• A bacterium, lactobacillus promotes the formation of curd.

Harmful effects of bacteria ,

• Most of bacteria causes various disease. For example , In human bacteria causes diseases like tuberculosis, cholera and typhoid , etc.
