Once you've downloaded Alice look for the icon that looks like 'Alice' form 'Alice in Wonderland' on your dextop and click on her to start the Alice software.
Here you will see the 'Welcome to Alice' screen .At the top there is a tab you can use as a tutorial on how to use Alice and some example s of Alice worlds you may have created. If you have no world pick the 'templates' tab and choose a landscape to use in your world.
When you've choosen a landscape you will see your world. Underneath the view of your world there is a little green button labelled 'ADD OBJECTS'.If you click the button you will change view and be able to see a row of galleries at the bottom of your containing objects you can use in your world(anything that exists in a world in Alice are called objects).
A very useful tool is the 'Undo button at the top left part of your screen. If you ever make a mistake in Alice just press the undo button to go back to before you made the mistake.
Once you are done with your project and you want to save your world, click on the large 'Done' button to finish adding objects. On the left hand corner of the screen click on 'file' then 'save world as...' and choose a name for your world(e.g. My World.), then click on save and close Alice.
To go back to your world again, rerun Alice and hit cancel on the 'Welcome to Alice' screen, choose file, click on open world, locate the file you created and click 'open'.
