We live in sundernagar it is a hill station near shimla.It was a rainy day,Mom and dad both had to go to office.I was not able to go to school because of heavy rain but now the rain has stopped and life is getting back to normal.But it was still dark and more rain was about to start.Soon mom and dad left for their office.They told me to keep my mobile charged and doors locked.I locked the door and started to read a novel.After and hour I heard the glass of the window of kitchen broke.I went there and saw that it was a landslide in our area along with huge storm.It was very dark outside.I felt very scared and ranged by father's mobile.He told me not to worry and be brave and not to go outside.He told me to sit under the dining table for some time in case a earthquake come up.It is very often in hilly areas that along with landslides sometimes even earthquake comes up.I sat under the dining table praying to god for saving everyone's life.It has stormed for two hours or more thankfully there was no earthquake.Then the storm and rain also stopped.Then the sunlight came out and I relaxed.I called up my parents.Some government officials came and told about clearing the road.When we looked outside it was huge damage outside.Many trees were broken outside.Thankfully my parents were able to reach home safely.I have learned a lesson that mother nature is more powerful than anyone.All these natural disaatours were happening because of continuous cutting of trees.Trees are our lifeline they hold the soil and water and maintain ecological balance.Save trees save life

It was a cold, foggy morning, and Julie was in no mood to take her dog, Snoopy, out for a walk in the bitter cold. Snoopy himself seemed reluctant to leave his bed near the fireplace. Julie got up and sat with Snoopy near the window of their house, soaking in the warm sunlight. Suddenly, she heard some commotion outside her front door, and hurriedly went to see what it was. As she opened the door, a young, scruffy looking man started running, with the milk bottles he had stolen from her front porch. Snoopy took after the man, ignoring the bitter cold, while Julie ran after them, still in her night robe and slippers. Snoopy tripped two newspaper boys and overturned a garbage can as he pursued the fleeing thief. As Julie turned a corner, she saw the thief slip on the hard ice, milk bottles flying, as Snoopy leaped and caught one of them in his mouth. The thief got away, but Snoopy came back happily, his tail wagging, to return the bottle to an exhausted Julie, expecting his breakfast.
