They didn't mean to, but in an attempt to build a time travelling machine, they discovered an alternate universe, and were accidentally trapped there. The four of them had been conducting time experiments for over one year.

Jason had finally found a way to break the quantum entanglement problem that had prevented them from succeeding. The machine was finally working. Five years of hard work and sleepless nights had finally pad off.

Amanda could not contain her excitement. She had her doubts before about the experiment but they were completely erased by the breakthrough Jason had had. Emily had reassured her that the experiment was going to work.

The five friends could not wait to get in their respective pods. They had no idea what was in store for them on the other side.

Jeff was nervous about the whole experiment. The others had tried to cheer him up to no avail. He had warned them about the consequences of time travel but they just shrugged them off. They had laughed at him and called him a coward.He had relented and had finally agreed to tag along.

Eli started the machine and each of them strapped up and closed the lids of their pods.The machine started whirring and suddenly there was a bright flash of light and then utter darkness. For a moment they thought that the machine had lost power.

The lids of their pods popped open and they all got out. They had traveled to an alternate reality and they suddenly realized that they had no way of going back.
