- The poet expresses how he is enraged by the sight of cages ,chains and all the objects and places that bound a living being.
- Be it a zoo where wild animals are captured and can only live and pace around a small space or be it cages in which birds are en-captured when they should rather be in the sky, he hates the compassion we are lacking towards these beings.
- He even feels that we should not capture men in jails and straight jackets as he compares it to "hell on earth".
- He says there is a need to be more compassionate and more kind towards our fellow beings and also we should teach our children the same.
