Answer:

The cell cycle has three phases that must occur before mitosis, or cell division, happens. These three phases are collectively known as interphase. They are G1, S, and G2. The G stands for gap and the S stands for synthesis.

Answer:

3 phases of interphase are as follows :

1) G1 -phase I. e. first growth phase -

in this phase cell growth occurs,

normal cell function,organelle duplication,

RNA and proteins are synthesized in this phase

2)S-phase I. e synthesis phase-

in this phase DNA is synthesized , so that amount of DNA per cell doubles .

synthesis of histone proteins also occurs in this phase.

3)G2-phase I. e second growth phase -

in this phase nucleus increases in volume .

metabolic activities essential for cell division occurs during this phase .

proteins are also synthesized .

Hope this will help you!
