CORRECT SOLUTION -

The additive inverse of -20 will be 20 .

  • If a + b = 0 , then b is called negative or additive inverse of a & a is called additive inverse of b! So , in this case same thing will be applicable we will be keeping 20 + x = 0 = -20(x is the unknown additive inverse).

  • We can know more by one fractional example : -2/3 additive inverse will be 2/3 and 2/3 additive inverse will be -2/3 ! [Notice no place is being changed i.e no reciprocal only signs are being changed!]

  • Dont get confused with two terms multiplicative inverse & additive inverse both are different!
