In composite fishing ,the fish breeds are chosen in a way that they don't compete for food amongst themselves. They are reared in one pond only.Some fishes are bottom feeders ,some are middle or upper feeders.This ensures proper utilization of food for the fishes.

So less mortality rate is seen in fishes as many survive for a long time.

But ,many fishes breed only during the monsoon season...so this makes it difficult to recognize the eggs Therefore,hormone stimulation needs to be given .

Also,proper quality of seeds is not there
