India is located in the Northern and Eastern hemisphere. It is situated in the southern part of Asia, at the head of the Indian Ocean. Thus has favourable location with respect to international trade and commerce. The mainland of India extents roughly between 8 degree 4'N latitude in the south and 37 degree 6'N latitude in North and between 68 degree 7'E longitude in the west and 97 degree 25'E longitude in the east.
