Explanation:

limestone is calcium carbonate. So it's formula is CaCO3 . Balanced Equation will be:-

CaCo³ + 2HCl -----------> H²O + CaCl² + CO²

calcium carbonate + dil.hydrochloric acid -----> water + calcium chloride + carbon dioxide

this is an acid - base neutralization reaction. Salt formed is calcium chloride

NOTE:- the numbers in the formula equation, except the coefficients, will be in subscript
