Given : angles. (i) 70° (ii) 45° (iii) 40°0 (iv) 60°

To find : complementary angles

Solution:

Complementary angles are angle pairs whose measures sum to one right angle (1/4 turn, 90°, or π/2 radians).

complementary angles of 70°   = 20°

complementary angles of 45°   = 45°

complementary angles of 40°   = 50°

complementary angles of 60°   = 30°

supplementary angles forms a linear pair means sum = 180°

supplementary angle of 100°   = 80°

supplementary angle of 90°   = 90°

supplementary angle of 60°   = 120°

supplementary angle of 30°   = 150°

∠AOC & ∠BOC  forming a linear pair.

∠AOD & ∠BOD forming a linear pair.

∠AOC + ∠BOC  = 180°

∠AOD + ∠BOD  = 180°
