Pressure is the force per unit area acting on an object.pressure is directly proportional to the force acting on an object and inversely proportional to the area of an object.

Pressure affect the change in state of three forms of matter whether it is solid,liquid and gas.we know that pressure is directly proportional to the force acting on an object. The pressure affect the state of matter such as liquid and gas because liquid and gas have weaker intermolecular force of attraction. By increasing pressures the interparticle spaces come closer and the interparticle force and intermolecular force of attraction become stronger. If we increase the pressure in gas then the gases changes into liquids state . if we again increase the pressure in liquids state then liquid state change into solid state.
