ANSWER

The amount of substance is expressed in units of volume or units of weight . Mole concept is useful to provide a scientific relationship between masses , volumes and number of particles(molecules,atoms,ions or electrons).

FACT

Chemists celebrate international mole day on 23rd october from 6.02 am to 6.02 pm by burning a bunsen burner in the laboratory.

\mathsf{1mole = 6.02 \times  {10}^{23}}

DEFINITION OF MOLE :-

The amount of a substance which contains the same number of chemical units i.e. atoms , molecules or ions as there are atoms in exactly 12 grams of pure carbon.

NOTE

Mole is a dimensionless quantity that represents avagadro number \mathsf{6.02 \times {10}^{23}}of identical species.
