In a watch glass, add little amount of water and mix a little amount of safranin

Now put the specimen in the watch

After staining, place it on a slide

Add 1 drop of glycerine on it.

The cut pieces are transfered into a petridish containing water.

Leaf peel is stained with safranin.

Leaf peel after staning(2-3 minutes) is taken with a brush and kept on a clean galss slide.

Mount the peel with glycerine and put coverslip on it.

Remove the excess stain and glycerin with the help of blotting paper.
