Today I am very happy as with the efforts of my granddaughter I learnt to read and write. I requested my granddaughter to teach me alphabets. I was an illiterate woman of sixty two years. I had an ardent desire to learn how to read and write but unfortunately I was never sent to the school. I became an independent creature in others. This always embarrassed me and I always wanted to overcome this embarrassment. Then my granddaughter held my finger and taught me alphabets. She gave me a gift of Kashi Yatre novel which I was fond of. Now I can read the novel without hesitation. I am really feeling very independent. Now I am able to to get new knowledge from the books, newspapers and magazines. I am heartily thankful to my granddaughter as she accepted to be a teacher of mine. May God bless my young teacher!
