DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ANODE AND CATHODE : -

ANODE --
* The electrode at which reduction takes place
* It is negative terminal
* Negative ions are deposited as atoms by gaining electrons.

CATHODE --
* The electrode at which oxidation takes place
* It is positive terminal
* Atoms are liberated as positive ions by losing electrons.
