The main difference between oviparous and viviparous animals is that oviparous animals do not undergo any embryonic development inside the mother whereas viviparous animals develop into a young animal inside the mother. This means oviparous animals lay eggs. ... Therefore, they do not lay eggs.

¤Oviparous:-the body is covered with feathers. The forelimbs are modified for flight. Mammary glands are absent.Bones are light anr hollow. They lay eggs.

¤viviparous:-Their body is covered by skin with hair . The forelimbs are modified for climbing or for some other purpose. mammary glands are present.these produce milk to feed their young ones. Bones are solid, hard and filled with bone marrow. They produce young ones. However, platypus and echinda lay eggs and some like kangaroos give birth to very poorly developed young ones.
