There are a few differences

Explanation:

1) Metals - Malleable, ductile, lustrous, Brittle, mostly solids, good conductor of heat and electricity and have a good tensile strength.

Non-metals - Non malleable, non-ductile, mostly gases , bad conductor of heat and electricity and dull (not lustrous)

exception : graphite (good conductor of electricity) , iodine (lustrous)
