Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Speed is a scalar quantity, which is the ratio of distance and time and it is always positive for a moving object/body.
  • Velocity is a vector quantity, which is the ratio of displacement and time and it may be positive, negative or zero for a moving object/body.

Speed:-

  • The distance travelled per second by a moving object is called it's speed.
  • It is a scalar quantity. The speed doesn't tell us the direction bof motion.
  • The speed nis always positive since direction is not taken into consideration.
  • After one round in a circular path, the average speed bis not zero.

Velocity :-

  • The distance travelled per second by moving object in a particular direction is called it's velocity.
  • It is a vector quantity. The velocity tells us the speed as well as the direction of motion.
  • The velocity can be positive or negative depending upon the direction of motion.
  • After completing each round in a circular path, the average velocity is zero.

Hope it helps uh :)
