There are three types of blood vessels:-

1. Arteries:- Function of this type of blood vessels is to carry oxygen in our body. Structurally they are found to be very small, they come from our heart and then goes to other organs of the body.

2. Veins:- They are larger in comparison of the arteries. Function of them is to back the supply of the blood. So we can say that arteries are those vessels which carries blood near to the heart.

3. Capillaries:- They are the smallest blood vessels. Function of them is to provide connection in between the veins and the arteries. Exchange of f nutrients also goes on in this.
