Answer:

There are two types of Pollination :-

  1. Self–Pollination
  • When the pollen is transferred from the anthers of a flower to the stigma of the same flower, it is called as self- pollination.

2. Cross – Pollination

  • In this type of pollination, the pollen is transferred from the anthers of one flower to the stigma of another flower. In this case, the two flowers are genetically different from each other.

Answer:

Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma. The goal of every living organism, including plants, is to create offspring for the next generation. One of the ways that plants can produce offspring is by making seeds.

Pollination takes two forms:

1) Self-pollination :

Self-pollination occurs when the pollen from the anther is deposited on the stigma of the same flower, or another flower on the same plant.

2)Cross-pollination :

Cross-pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower on a different individual of the same species.
