given point,
(2,-1)
→ It is in Quadrant 4.
→ The distance of point (2,-1) from the y-axis is 2 units
→ The distance of point (2,-1) from the x-axis is 1 unit.

For any co-ordinate (x,y) -
Distance of point from x axis is the y co-ordinate .
Distance of the point from y axis is the x co-ordinate.
So, here (2,-1)
Distance of point from x-axis will be y co-ordinate that is -1 , but as it is distance of the point from the axis , we'll drop the -ve sign , so the distance of point from x-axis is 1unit.
Distance of the point from y-axis is the x co-ordinate of the point that is 2. So, distance of point (2,-1) from y-axis is 2units.
