Welcome to the concept of linear equation, which is a part of algebra!

This is a question based on the concept of linear equation in one variable.

Here, we use variables and constants and the method of transposition to solve questions.

According to the question (ATQ):-

Two third of a number 'm' minus 7 gives 9.

=>2/3m-7=9

=>2/3m=9+7

=>2/3m=16

=>m=16×3/2

=>m=24

Verification:-

LHS=2/3m-7 RHS=9

2/3×24-7

16-7

9

So, LHS=RHS, hence verified
