if we have a slope and a point on line then we can apply this formula to find the eq of the line

slope(m)=-1/2 , x1=6 , y1= 4

>>(y-y1)=m(x-x1)

>>(y-4)=-1/2(x-6)

>>2(y-4)=-x+6

>>2y-8= -x +6

>>2y+x=6+8

>>2y+x=14

>>x+2y=14

hope it helps.....
