Hi dr. .....

alpha=-1/4 and beta=1
=x^2-(alpha+beta) x+alpha bheta
=x^2-(1-1/4) x+(1)(-1/4)
=x^2-3/4 x-1/4

Therefore x^2-3/4 x-1/4 is the required quadratic polynomial.

Hope this may help u...

4xsquared - 5x +1
sol- general formula for quadratic equation is xsquared - (alpha plus beta)x + alpha×beta where alpha and beta are its zero
