Features:-

1) Bryophytes occupy the position between algae and pteridophytes.

2) Gametophyte is dominant phase on which sporophyte is dependent physically and physiologically.

3) Heteromorphic alternation of generation is present.

4) plant body is gametophytic (N). The gametophyte is represents generation in the life cycle of plant that has gamete. It is haploid.
