Write the following statements using the symbol of variation.
(1) Circumference (c) of a circle is directly proportional to its radius (r).
(2) Consumption of petrol (l) in a car and distance travelled by that car (d) are in direct variation.

(I) Given, circumference (c) of a circle is directly proportional to its radius (r).
e.g., \bf{C\propto r}
as you know, circumference of circle = 2πr
= (2π)r
here, 2π is constant , then of course C is directly proportional to r .

(2) Given, Consumption of petrol (l) in a car and distance travelled by that car (d) are in direct variation.
in simple way , we can say that consumption of petrol (l) in a car and distance (d) travelled by that car is directly proportional to it .
so, \bf{l\propto d}
