LetMEbe the mass of the Earth and mbe the mass of an object on its surface. If Ris the radius of the Earth, then according to the universal law ofgravitation, the gravitational force (F)acting between the Earth and the object is given by the relation:

F=G m1xm2/r²

Force experienced by object on surface =(G*M*m)/R^2 where G is universal gravitation constant, M is mass of earth, m is mass of object, and R is radius of earth at that point.
