The gravitational force between the earth and an object on the surface of the earth is

= F = GMm/ R 2

Where G is the universal gravitational constant.

M is the mass of earth.

m is the mass of the object.

Distance between the the earth's centre and object = Radius of the earth = R.

Let \: the \: mass \: of \: earth = M

Let \: the \: mass \: of \: the \: object =M

Distance \: between \: the \: earth's

and \: object =

Radius \: of \: the \: earth = R

Therefore,

Gravitational \: Force = F = GMm/ R 2
