Difference between Mass and weight are:-

Mass:-

(1) Mass is the quantity of matter possessed by a body.

(2) It is a scalar quantity, which has magnitude only.

(3) Its unit is kilogram (kg).

(4) It is not changed by changing the position.

(5) It is calculated by the formula: m=w/g

(6) It is measured by physical balance, beam balance, electronic balance, etc.

Weight:-

(1) Weight is the gravitational force by which earth attracts it.

(2) It is a vector quantity, which means that it has magnitude and direction.

(3) Its unit is the newton (N).

(4) It is changed by changing the position.
