Rom is a computer memory on which data is stored.if once data is stored onto a ROM it can't be erased and we can only read it . It even holds data even pc is switched off .

ROM (Read Only Memory) it is permanent memory. Information stored it ROM is not lost when the computer is switched off. It helps in booting process of the computer system....
