1) The uterus is the largest & major of females reproductive tract that is site of fetal growth & it is hormonally responsive .
2) The uterus is lined with mucus membrane rich in blood capillaries to form placenta which responsible for nourishment of the fetus during pregnancy through the umbilical cord .
3) The uterus is part of pathway for sperm to reach the ovum it is responsible for menstruation, the implantation of zygote , the development of fetus then the Labour .
4) The uterus is responsible for hormonal change within body which allow the adaptation to different stages of female reproductive life.
