Functions of mitochondria:-

1.mitochondria plays a major role in oxidation of carbohydrates and fats.

2.During biological conditions the energies are absorbed by mitochondria for the synthesis of ATP.

3.Due to these functions they are known as " power house of the cells".

Functions of chloroplast:-

1.chloroplasts are the sites of photosynthesis.

2.they are found only in plant cells

3.they are surrounded by inner and outer membranes a complex structure known as thylakoids membranes.

4.Thylakoids contains the pigments and enzymes that absorbs light and produce ATP.
