Forests are of great importance to mankind as these help us in various ways:

1) providing us with the fresh air and adequate amount of oxygen, which we need to survive. Without forests and trees we wouldn't be alive.

2) providing us with various essentials which fulfill our daily needs and also luxury needs like houses, furniture, medicines, paper, etc.

3) forests help in maintaining the temperature of earth and also regulates the amount of water present on earth, especially the amount of fresh water.
