I was sleeping alone in the room and I had a dream that I failed in my board exams. The dream frightened me to the core of my heart. My life seemed to be a mess at that moment. I was completely helpless. No one was in my favour, it's obvious after all I broke all the expectations of my parents and my teachers. I was actually feeling that I was the most unlucky person on the globe at that moment.

My all sacrifices and preparation proved invain. My dedication and hard work towards studies didn't payed me off. My life was going through a dark tunnel where I had many around me but I found none to accompany. And what made the condition a little more tophet were the relatives. I was literally taunted by relatives who didn't even really asked me my condition in last 2-3 years but they didn't missed this golden chance. It felt the whole nation knows me and everyone was waiting for my results to be declared xD.

All such words said by some relative was like slow poison, killing me from inside slowly. I knew that boards were once in a life time opportunity and I spoilt my golden opportunity. I wasted my year. I was tagged as a failure. Time passed and I was slowly trying to recover from the failure. People around me were still but looking at me as an useless fellow just meant to add up and increase the population. My dream felt to me too real. My mum who was sleeping beside me said that I was doing a lot of action while dreaming. Such impactful and horrible dream it was.

My movement disturbed the sleep of my mum and she tried waking me up. She tried and tried but was unable to gain success, I was completely engrossed in that dream my mind was trapped. She shaked me harder now and finally I woke up just to realize that I still had an entire month to prepare for my board exams. There was an amazing relief on my face. I hugged my mom and asked her to give me water to drink. I drank. My mum asked me about my movements during my sleep. I narrated all about my dream. She just laughed. She said that Dipa, this was probably an indication for you to put in more efforts towards your studies dear.

I replied, "Yes mum, I guess you are right."

Mum said me to sleep and kissed me on the forehead. I woke up next morning and I was completely dedicated towards my study, I gave up all distractions. All thanks to that horror dream :D

Exams approached and I gained 97.20% and was the topper.

Moral : Sometimes the bad memories teach us much more than the good memories.
