Equation : 3y + 6 = - 9

3y = - 9 - 6

3y = - 15

L.H.S = 3y

R. H. S. = - 15

Or

3y + 15 = 0

3 ( y + 5 ) = 0

y = - 5

Write the L.H.S. and R.H.S. of the following equation: 3y + 6 = -9

Solution:

Given Equation,

⇒ 3y + 6 = - 9

⇒ 3y = - 9 - 6

⇒ 3y = - 15

⇒ y = - 15 / 3

⇒ y = - 5

Hence, L.H.S is Y & R.H.S is -5.

Now Checking,

3y + 6 = - 9

⇒ 3 × -5 + 6 = -9

⇒ -15 + 6 = -9

⇒ -9 = -9

Hope It Helps!
