The rain shadow region in Brazil is called as Sertao.

This is located in the north-eastern Brazil.

Basically, rain shadow is the dry land that is on the leeward side of the mountain areas.

The mountain will not allow the rain to pass through and produce rain and this would have a shadow of dryness next to it.

The air will be not having any kind of moisture and this air would be breezing towards the mountains and create a dry air side, which is called as rain shadow.
