The name of organic compound having its name suffixed with - ol is Alcohol.

The molecular formula of compound having 2 carbon atom is =>CH3CH2OH(Ethanol)

When ethanol is heated with excess of concentrated H2SO4 we get Ethene and water.

Chemical reaction

CH3CH2OH-----H2SO4--- > CH2=CH2 + H20
