For the identification of blood groups we first need to identify the type of antigens in them.

For example 1) in blood group A: there is antigen B

                     2) in blood group B: there is antigen A

                     3) in blood group O: there are no antigens

                     4) in blood group AB: there are present both the antigens A        and B

Also there is the influence of a pigment RH which determines whether a blood group is A,B,AB and O positive or negative..

I hope you have understood it.

The name of two material which is most important for identification of blood groups are sample and antibodies.

Explanation:

The other materials required for identification of blood groups are as follows:

  • Antibodies (Anti-A, Anti-B and D)
  • Blood lancet
  • Alcohol swabs
  • Sterile cotton balls
  • Clean glass slide
  • Blood sample
  • Tray

The process is based upon the agglutination reaction occurring between the blood samples and antibody added to it.
