1) Reducing of soil fertility by overuse of chemicals.

2) Killing essential microbes needed for soil leading to degradation of soil structure.

3) Reduction in the ground water level because of high irrigation needs for HYV seeds, leading to exploitation of water resources by using dug wells and water pumps.

4) Reducing the soil fertility has forced farmers to use more amount of capital in the next season for achieving the same amount of yeild which may leads to less profit.
