In Glucopyranose 5 hydroxyl groups are present.
- When glucose is exhibited in the pyranose structure, the obtained structure is called glucopyranose.
- In the glucopyranose structure six carbon atoms, one oxygen atom, and 5 hydrogen atoms are present.
- In case of functional groups, the structure has 5 hydroxyl group (OH) in which 4 are freely attached whereas one is attached with group attached with the fifth carbon.
- In carbons, the OH group is present above the carbon atoms, whereas in carbons, it is present below the carbon atoms.
- The structure of Glucopyranose is given in the attachment.
